The jack of all trades: the round brush

Versatile and essential – the round brush is really the absolute all-round brush. Brushes were already used in the third century to remove dirt from the hair and to detangle it. Brushes have constantly been improved and new types of brushes have been developed over the years – nowadays brushes are an essential part of the daily hair care. Round brushes are especially suitable to create voluminous, straight blow dry styles or also to create curls. Hairs that are dried with the help of a round brush gain shine and bounce without looking stiff. There are many sizes and shapes available for round brushes.

Materials round brushes

The brushes are usually made of wood, aluminium or ceramic. The classic round brush version is made from wood, as it can be used in various instances. Brushes with a ceramic or aluminium centre have the advantage that they store the heat from the hairdryer and pass it on to the hair. You can find a wide range of different round brushes on BellAffair from salon exclusive brands like Olivia Garden or Comair. Round brushes with natural bristles are getting more and more popular, as they are gentle to the hair and are often used when the hair already has some split ends.
