Olaplex
Healthier hair in just 3 minutes! Olaplex has revolutionized the haircare industry. The exclusive Olaplex Bond-Building Technology™ sets new standards in hair repair and paved the way for an entirely new category of hair products – bond building.
What is Olaplex?
Olaplex is a unique active ingredient composed of the molecule Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. It was developed in 2014 in California by Dr. Craig Hawker and Dr. Eric Pressly. The invention of these two scientists has now been patented more than 160 times. What makes it so revolutionary is its ability to repair damaged and compromised hair from the inside out – and to do so permanently.
Today, with more than 100 global patents, Olaplex is one of the largest independent haircare brands in the world. All products are vegan, cruelty-free, sulfate-free, and paraben-free. The packaging is made from ocean waste plastic.
How Olaplex Works
Olaplex is the first innovation in the beauty industry that can sustainably repair damage inside the hair.
Hair is exposed to stress every day from blow-drying, straightening, coloring, sun exposure, and other external factors. These influences can cause the disulfide bonds inside the hair to break. Once this happens, the hair becomes vulnerable, as the outer layer (the cuticle) opens up and care products as well as color pigments can no longer perform effectively.
Olaplex permanently repairs the broken disulfide bonds, restores the hair’s original structure, and strengthens it from within. The result: repair, rejuvenation, strength, elasticity, and protection against further breakage.
The Bestsellers: Which Olaplex Products Do You Really Need?
Olaplex No. 3
Olaplex No. 3 is the core product of the Olaplex range. It is applied before washing the hair to directly repair damage and strengthen the hair intensively.

How to Spot Olaplex Counterfeits
BellAffair sources the brand’s products from the official distributor for the DACH region, who can confirm the authenticity of the goods 100%. Each product is marked with a QR code that allows you to verify its originality. In addition, the batch number makes it possible to trace the origin of the product.
Why is Olaplex not compatible with keratin?
Despite its many benefits, there is one thing that is not compatible with Olaplex: keratin. Combining Olaplex with keratin-based products can lead to the hair being “over-treated.” This makes it prone to dryness, loss of elasticity, and ultimately breakage. Especially for hair that is already chemically treated or damaged, keratin should be avoided while using Olaplex products. It is recommended to allow at least a two-week break between the use of Olaplex and keratin treatments.
Why Olaplex?
Olaplex repairs all types of hair damage on every hair type, from curly to straight. Whether caused by color treatments, heat styling, or excessive sun exposure – unlike conventional care products, stressed and damaged hair is repaired, strengthened, and protected from the inside out.
The Bond Maintenance System is now used worldwide by enthusiastic fans. Renowned magazines such as Vogue and Elle praise the products in the highest terms.
Which shampoo can be combined with Olaplex?
